Phil Collins Performance at Little Dreams Foundation Benefit Lit with Elation ACL 360 Bar Fixtures

MIAMI— Grammy Award-winning recording artist Phil Collins hosted the second annual Little Dreams Foundation Benefit Gala in South Florida and performed at the charity event backed by a line of Elation ACL 360 Bar color-changing battens with 360-degree rotation.

Collins and his wife founded the Little Dreams Foundation in 2000 to provide mentoring and financial support for children who aspire to be musicians, artists and athletes. The Benefit Gala, which took place at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on March 11 to raise money for the aspiring artists, closed with a special acoustic performance by Phil Collins with additional performances by Diego Torres, DJ Irie and Lou Gramm.

Lighting design for the event, which was produced by ACT Productions, was by John Hollingshead with The Design Oasis (thedesignoasis.com) providing lighting and projection gear, their second time being involved with the project. “We made a few changes to the last Gala’s design and added the ACL 360 Bars because of their versatility, high light output and the compact factor,” stated Abbas Ritscher, CEO and co-founder of The Design Oasis. “Twelve ACL 360 Bars were placed behind the artist in a horizontal line to create dynamic looks in the air. They produce a nice tight beam that looks great and are surprisingly powerful.”

The ACL 360 Bar is a versatile moving head effect batten that has increasingly found its way onto festivals, special events and tours. Its 7 individual 15W RGBW LEDs and advanced collimator optic produces a dense, laser-like 4-degree beam from each lens. Combined with fast, continuous 360° pan and tilt rotation, a variety of dynamic movement effects are possible.
